HAVING A BEST FRIEND
Once upon a time, there were two friends walking through the forest. After some time they had an argument and one friend slapped the other one. The one who got slapped was hurt but without saying anything he wrote in the sand “Today my best friend slapped me on my face”. They kept on walking until they found water and they decided to wash their faces. The one who had been slapped earlier got stuck in the mire and started drowning but his friend saved him. After coming back to dry land he wrote on a stone “Today my best friend saved my life”. The friend who had slapped him and also saved his life was surprised and asked him ” After I hurt you, you wrote on the sand, and now after saving your life you wrote on a stone, why?” He looked into his eyes and told him that when someone hurts us we should write it down on the sand where the winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it into the stone where no wind can ever erase it.
Moral: Value the people you have in your life.
